Microcross
Visual X-Tools™
is a Professional Embedded Development
Studio, providing a fully integrated single windows-style
IDE and build solution that is powered by the world-class
Visual SlickEdit® and GNU X-Tools™. Visual X-Tools™ is hosted
on Linux and Windows platforms and provides a complete end-to-end
integration of GNU X-Tools™ with all of Visual SlickEdit®
features of code editing, syntax coloring, symbol lookup,
code navigation, context tagging, search and replace, C/C++
source beautification, file differencing (DIFFzilla™), and
source build interface and debug. Visual X-Tools™ also provides
keystroke emulations for Brief, CUA, CodeWarrior, Epsilon,
GNU Emacs, ISPF, vi, Visual C++, and custom user setups. Benefits
include improved productivity through the use of target-specific
project wizards, integrated debugger, and commercial support
from Microcross. With 20 target-specific processor wizards,
the user can easily migrate from one target to another without
interface changes and no C/C++ code changes, thus, maximizing
your investment into a product that you learn once and can
apply to almost any embedded development project. |

GNU
X-Tools™
is based on the GNU standard for 16/32/64-bit cross-development
tools. Thousands have come to trust GNU tools for its quality,
and its consistent design across multiple target CPUs. Today,
Microcross offers the widest commercial coverage of reliable,
low cost, and supported open source embedded tools. Without
question, GNU tools are the most widely used development
tools in the world due to the Free Software Foundation's
General Public License. No more vendor lock-outs, keys,
time-outs, or obsolescence. GNU X-Tools produces the most
portable C/C++ code for some 16-bit and all mainstream 32/64-bit
microprocessors -- you have to ask yourself, why ever use
another toolchain? Microcross supports multiple host and
target options providing complete coverage from small, deeply
embedded, real-time applications to very large scale projects.
